  • Two injured in Saturday morning wreck at Preston

  • Two men, one from Medicine Lodge and one from Colorado, were injured in a one-vehicle accident at Preston at 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

  • Two men, one from Medicine Lodge, suffered serious injuries in a one-car accident at 7 a.m. at Preston Saturday morning.
    Daniel Enriquez, 49 of Meeker, Colo. was traveling northeast on K61 in a 2011 Dodge truck when the vehicle went off the road on the right hand side, struck a Kansas Department of Transportation sign then entered a culvert, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs website.
    The vehicle then became airborne and traveled 51 feet before landing and crashing into a tree.
    Pratt County EMS transported Enriquez to Pratt Regional Medical Center.
    Rafael Rico, 42 of Medicine Lodge, a passenger in the vehicle was transported to Via Christi St. Francis campus in Wichita.
    Both men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
