HESSTON The Hesston High School boys' golf team placed fourth out of 11 teams Tuesday at the Hesston Invitational. Maize South won the team title at 319, followed by Buhler at 323, Wichita Collegiate at 324 and Hesston at 328. Buhler's Tyler Heimerman was top medalist at 76, five over par. Hesston's Matt Thayne was second at 77. Cameron Chugg of Collegiate, Alex Schremmer of Maize South and Collin Kasitz of Maize South were all two strokes back at 78. Hesston's Titus Ewert shot an 82, followed by Brandon Swank at 83, Matt Steele at 86, Jack Barnhart at 86, Brock Martin at 92 and Nick Eckhoff at 94. Hesston competes Friday at the Marion County Invitational at the Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course and Marion Country Club.
