    The Newton High School varsity and junior varsity softball team's games with Salina Central have been moved up to 3:30 p.m. today. The venue has been changed to Salina South's field.

    MAIZE The Newton High School girls' soccer team fell to Maize 3-0 Thursday in Maize. Stats and scoring details were not released at press time. Newton plays at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday against Salina South at Fischer Field,
    Hole-in-one shot at NPGC
    Orlyn Zehr shot a hole-in-one Wednesday at the Newton Public Golf Course. Zehr used a hybrid 4 to ace the 132-yard seventh hole. Witnesses were Harry Neufeld and Walt Long.
    Preston Ford and Shawn Bontrager played second doubles for Newton High School in the tournament results in Tuesday's Kansan.
