Game On shop signs lease at Chisholm Trail Center
Chisholm Trail Center-Outlet & Retail Shops announced Game On has signed a multi-year lease to occupy 1,200 square feet of space in the shopping center located on I-135, exit 28 in Newton.
This will be a second location for Game On. The first store has been in business for four and a half years at the Hutchinson Mall. In a down retail environment, owner Jeff Boll has seen growth in his business and felt the need to expand into a new market in Newton.
At Game On, people can buy, sell or trade video games, game systems, DVDs and iPods. Their product line includes used recent video games, vintage video games, DVDs, iPods, new skateboards, both prebuilt and built to order skateboards, as well as body jewelry. Target opening date is mid-February. The Newton location will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sundays noon to 6 p.m.
"Game On sets themselves apart from their competitors by providing generous frequent user programs, cleaning all of their games and DVDs before resale and selling many of the older hard-to-find games and game systems," a news release stated. "Their DVD prices to purchase are comparable to some rental prices. After you have watched the DVD, trade it in for another at Game On."
“With the limited retail availability at Chisholm Trail Center, we are able to be very choosy with our new tenants,” said Debra Mitchell, marketing director of Chisholm Trail Center. “Over the years, we have tried to provide more options for men. Not only will Game On be an appealing retail option for men but teens and preteens will be looking forward to this store opening.”
