  • County lacrosse team to hold sign-ups Thursday

  • In a month’s time, the Leavenworth County lacrosse club will begin the 2013 season.
    To prepare for that March 2 opener at Rockhurst, the Bulldogs are holding a registration night for any and all interested players between grades 7-12.
    The meeting, led by new coach AJ Besik, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday inside the Leavenworth Public Library located at 417 Spruce St.
    Besik will provide an overview of the sport for perspective parents and players as well a chance to sign-up for those who wish to.
    In addition, membership for the U.S. lacrosse club will also available.
