The Cory Academy of Irish Dance and the Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts are hosting a traditional Irish Ceili from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts, 123 E. Broadway. The event originally was slated for Wednesday, Jan. 16.
A Ceili is an Irish and Scottish social tradition involving live music and folk dancing that anyone can do, a news release stated. The history and customs of a Ceili will be talked about while the dances are taught by instructor Noreen Northrop-Cory. Live musicians will be there to accompany the dances.
Cost is $12 for an individual person, $17 a pair, $8 for children 10 years and under, and free for children 5 years and under.
