Dr. Ryan Hall, MD, joins Newton Medical Center Imaging team

Newton Medical Center has added Dr. Ryan Hall, MD, as its Imaging Department Medical Director. Dr. Hall is part of a five member group of radiologists from the Hutchinson Clinic that NMC is partnering with to offer comprehensive imaging reading and interventional services on the NMC campus. Dr. Hall started in his role at NMC on Jan. 1 and will be its full-time radiologist.“We are very excited to have begun our work with Dr. Hall and the rest of the Hutchinson Clinic radiologists. Our department and medical center will continue to offer high quality imaging care to NMC patients, as well as adding new imaging guided interventional procedures that we haven’t performed before at our facility,” said Tom Wells, director of imaging services at Newton Medical Center. “Dr. Hall will play an integral role in the future of our department and in patient care at the medical center.”The radiologists will be responsible for reading all imaging exams for inpatients and outpatients at NMC. This also includes the newly relocated Women’s Center and its Park City and Valley Center clinics. The rest of the team is comprised of Michael Schekall, MD; Curt Thompson, MD; Glenda Holzman, MD; and Gary McKee, MD.Dr. Hall joined Hutchinson Clinic in August 2012. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine and conducted his internship at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison. He is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Radiological Society of North America and the American Medical Association.Dr. Schekall received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Creighton-Nebraska Health Foundation and his residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Board-certified in radiology, Dr. Schekall has been with Hutchinson Clinic since 1992.On the staff of Hutchinson Clinic since 2001, Dr. Thompson is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. He has been certified by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Family Practice.Board-certified in radiology, Dr. Holzman has been with Hutchinson Clinic since 2009. She attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and has completed two residencies: a musculoskeletal radiology residency at the University of Iowa and a radiology residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Radiological Society of North America and the American College of Radiology.Dr. McKee is board-certified in radiology and has been with Hutchinson Clinic since 1991. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. Prior to joining Hutchinson Clinic, Dr. McKee was a radiology instructor at Mayo Medical School and diagnostic radiology consultant in Scottsdale, Ariz. He also served as a senior associate consultant at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.Patients and community members are invited to meet the new radiologists and other members of NMC’s imaging team at an open house on Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. This will also showcase the newly relocated Women’s Center and imaging department remodeled areas.
