  • Two men were taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in critical condition Saturday following an ATV accident.
At about 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Butler County Deputies along with EMS and Fire, were dispatched to NE 100th and Stoney Creek Rd for the report of an ATV accident on private property, according to the report.
According to witnesses riding in the field at the time of the accident,  Jonathan W. Michal, 28, of El Dorado, was the owner and operator of a 2009 Polaris ATV traveling southwest through the pasture located at NE 100thand Stoney Creek Road.  While traveling at a high rate of speed, the ATV struck a small draw in the field causing the ATV to roll one time, end over end.  During this time, Michal was ejected from the driver seat of the ATV.  The ATV then began to roll on its side.  The ATV rolled one complete turn, during which time, the passenger, Jeremy D. Brown, 27, of rural El Dorado, was ejected from the passenger seat of the ATV.
Neither Michal nor Brown were restrained.
Both men were flown by Life Team to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in critical condition, suffering chest and back injuries.
There are no other details known at this time.
