MOUNDRIDGE — Maurine H. Vogts, 90, passed away Dec. 8, 2012, at Pine Village.
She was born March 3, 1922, to Jonathan P. and Amalia (Wedel) Flickner on the family farm near Moundridge. She was a member of First Mennonite Church of Christian. She was a homemaker and served as a cook at Pine Village and the Moundridge Senior Center.
She married Marion Vogts on Dec. 29, 1944, at Moundridge. He passed away Jan. 20, 1990.
Survivors include her children: Beverly (Joe) Zerger, McPherson, Bruce (Jeanne) Vogts, Buhler, and Brenda (Dale) Wedel, Newton; grandchildren: Todd (Krisha) Zerger, Salina, Neil (Ginny) Zerger, Derby, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Schneider, Littleton, Colo., Emily (Craig) Dilbeck, Buhler, Kristin (Bill) Franklin, Buhler, Shane (Tracy) Wedel, Newton, David (Tara) Wedel, Wichita, Jonathan (Jessica) Wedel, Rose Hill, and Timothy (Cassie Esparza) Wedel, Newton; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Committal service will be at 10:15 a.m. Thursday in the First Mennonite Church Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the church. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral Home.
