The Walton Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the Whistle Stop Cafe. Jack Griffith from Walton will be putting on the program. He will be singing a number of songs.
Sound of the Heartland invites the community to a free “sing and share” experience. Sing Christmas carols and make artful Christmas cards for those who need extra cheer this holiday season. Art supplies, cookies, cider and songs will be provided. The event will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at St. Luke's Evangelical Church, 808 E. Sixth, Newton.
The Compassionate Friends will meet at 7:30 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 1000 N. Main in Newton. The Compassionate Friends is an organization that provides support, love and sharing for those who have lost a child or grandchild. Come and meet with other parents and grandparents who have walked, or are walking, this difficult journey.

The Warkentin House Victorian House Museum, 211 E. First. Hours 1 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. The home, built between 1886 and 1887, is an example of the Victorian period in American architecture and furnishings. Beginning June 1, the hours will be from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays through the summer months.
