Hutchinson Credit Union promotes Springer to new executive VP positionGarth Strand, president of Hutchinson Credit Union, has announced the promotion of Dan Springer to executive vice president.“Dan possess a unique understanding of the balance between credit union philosophies and data driven analytics,” Strand commented in a news release. “At all times, he is working the numbers to deliver the best value to our members. In every way, Dan represents the next generation of credit union leaders. HCU members are very fortunate to have Dan on their leadership team.”Springer has been with HCU since 2008, most recently holding the title of CFO, where he is responsible for the financial position, forecasting and oversight of the credit union. Additionally he manages all accounting, finance, EFT, investment and internal audit functions.He previously was the internal auditor and compliance officer with Credit Union of America in Wichita. Prior to that, he was a staff accountant for Kennedy and Coe, LLC, in Wichita.Springer has a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and business administration from Doane College in Crete, Neb., a master of business administration from Wichita State University, and also has earned his CPA designation.Located at the Hutchinson Credit Union main branch at 23rd and Severance in Hutchinson, with the promotion to EVP, Springer takes on additional responsibilities in management of the credit union, collaborating extensively with President Strand.HCU is headquartered in Hutchinson, with offices in Haven, Newton and Wichita. This blend of personal and technical skills makes Zack the perfect candidate to take our technology initiatives to the next level.”Clobes has been with HCU since 1998, most recently holding the title of IT manager, where he was responsible for IT operations, custom programming, data communications and data processing.Clobes is a Microsoft certified systems engineer. He originally joined HCU in his senior year at Hutchinson High School and is a Hutchinson native.Located at the Hutchinson Credit Union main branch at 23rd and Severance in Hutchinson, he is responsible for all IT and technological endeavors. Clobes is a member of the credit union’s executive and strategic planning teams.
