  • Margaret L. Cooper, 93, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Newton Medical Center. She was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Lanesboro, Iowa, to Arthur and Mary (Main) Thompson. She was married to Bradden Cooper, and he preceded her in death. Margaret had a lifelong hobby of collecting salt and pepper shakers. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and looked forward to spending time with her loving family. Margaret is survived by a daughter, Coreen Caldwell of Fruita, Colo. She also is survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband; daughter, Dale Marie Ades; sister, June Cooper; and brother, Francis Thompson. A graveside committal service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Greenwood Cemetery, 1100 E. First, Newton. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
