BURRTON — Chester L. Unruh, 80, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at his residence.
He was born June 22, 1932, in Moundridge to Fred B. and Malinda (Unruh) Unruh.
He was a lifetime farmer and also worked for Cargill as a miller and superintendent. He was a member of Halstead Baptist Church.
On Dec. 2, 1951, he married Carol Lee Fast at Burrton, and she survives.
Other survivors include sons, Derrick (Raenita) Unruh of Burrton, Darian (Carol) Unruh of Indianapolis, Duane (Cindy) Unruh of Greenville, S.C.; daughters, Debbie (Stanley) Waller of Hutchinson, and Darla (David) Gaeddert of Hutchinson; brothers, Melvin (Sara) Unruh of Burrton, and Homer (Kathy) Unruh of Burrton; sister, Mildred Vincent of Burrton; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Unruh, and a sister, Deloris Gray.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 21, 2012) at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday (Nov. 23, 2012), at Halstead Baptist Church, Halstead, with Pastor Ed Blanchette officiating. Burial will follow at Burrton Cemetery, Burrton.
