In a largely defensive battle, the White squad edged the Maroon squad 6-0. The game was shortened to four eight-minute quarters. Each squad had about two to three possessions per quarter.

At last year's spring game, the Threshers had about 24 players suited. The Threshers had more than double that this season. The Bethel men and women posted identical scores, beating Southwestern 8-1 Tuesday and Tabor 9-0 Wednesday.

The BC women improve to 7-3, 4-1 in KCAC play. The men improve to 10-1, 5-1 in KCAC play.

Bethel lost 9-4 and 12-1.

In the first game, Bethel trailed 4-3 after four inning, but gave up five runs in the top of the fifth.

Paige Rothwell went two for four hitting to lead Southwestern, driving in two runs. Shelby Tucker drove in three runs. Devan Howard went two for three hitting with an RBI. Rachael Baker went three for four with an RBI.

Bethel's last loss in conference play came April 11, 2009 to Bethany 6-3. The Threshers later avenged that loss to Bethany 5-3 in the conference finals.

McPherson improved to 8-6, 3-0 in KCAC play. Bethel falls to 5-3, 2-1 in KCAC. Bethel falls one match behind McPherson and Ottawa with four matches remaining.
