Cheryl Ann Williams, 45, died Friday (Nov. 2, 2012) at her residence. She was born Nov. 25, 1966, in Wichita to Jerry and Janice (Merva) Brown. She was a member of the 1985 Newton High School Class. Cheryl was a merchandiser for O’Reilly auto parts. Her family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. She greatly looked forward to spending time with her loving family and many friends. Cheryl is survived by her father, Jerry Brown of Newton; husband, Lance Province of Haysville; daughters, Heather Williams of Woodward, Okla., and Yvette Williams of Freedom, Okla.; step-daughters, Camby Province of Cheney, and Shandee Province of Wichita; sons, Robert Williams of Wichita, Jared Williams of Haysville, and Evan Province of Haysville; step-sons, Josh Province of Wichita and Zachary Province of Mulvane; brothers, Larry Brown of Newton, and James Brown of Peabody; sisters, Sherry Brown of Newton, and Karen Whiters of Hinesville, Ga. Cheryl also is survived by six loving grandchildren: Brendon, Jaxon, Addisen, Robert Jr., Dylan and Destiny. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice (Merva) Brown. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday (Nov. 9, 2012) at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, 215 N. Main St. in Newton. Officiating will be Pastor Bobby Massey of the Valley Center Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
