  • YORK, Neb. — The Bethel College women’s basketball team didn’t score for the final 2:05 Saturday night, leading to a 63-55 loss to York College in non-conference play in York. Bethel’s Samantha Wilkerson hit a shot with 2:05 remaining to tie the game 55-55. York outscored Bethel 8-0 in the remaining time, hitting two field goals and four of four from the line. Bethel missed two shots from the field and a free throw in the remaining time, also turning the ball over once. Bethel was just 20 of 60 from the field for the game. York was 21 of 64. York did outscored Bethel 9-0 from 3-point range and outrebounded the Threshers 52-45. York, 1-1, was led by Sara Lincoln with 22 points. Marissa Maher scored 10 points with 15 rebounds. Delaney Ortega added 11 rebounds. Bethel was led by freshman Lauren Ulrich with 16 points. Freshman Kendra Scott posted his first collegiate double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Jaime Tschetter blocked three shots. Bethel blocked seven shots as a team. Bethel, 1-1, travels to McPherson at 6 p.m. Thursday to face Central Christian College.
