Victoria Brown of Brisbane, Australia, and Tim Harder of Newton wed at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, in a double ring ceremony at Swiss Church in Whitewater. Rod Bevan officiated the ceremony. The bride’s parents are Rodney Brown and Anne Brown of Brisbane, Australia, and the groom’s parents are Ron and Janice Harder of Newton. The bride was escorted by her brother, Alexander Brown. Bridesmaids were Jessica Skinner of Mt. Isa, Australia; Alexandra Gibney of Brisbane, Australia; and Marita Verlaan of Warchope, Australia. Groomsmen were Jesse Flanagan of Palatine, Ill.; Dan Powell of North Woods, Wis.; and Ben Yergler of Mundelin, Ill. Grandparents are Fred and Esther Johnson of Haviland; Gerhard and Anna Harder of Whitewater; Joan Brown of Caloundra, Australia; and Keith Bailey of Camp Mountain, Australia. The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and will be making their home in Newton. The bride attended Hillbrook Anglican School and the Queensland University of Technology. She plans to attend WSU. The groom attended Berean Academy, graduating in 2006, and he also graduated from Trinity International University of Deerfield, Ill. He is now employed at Bender Steel and Repair as an accountant.
