    McPherson police
    An officer took a report at 5:35 p.m. Thursday in reference to a theft of a notebook from a 12-year-old McPherson male by several other 12-year-olds that occurred around Myers and First. The notebook has not been recovered. An estimated value of loss was not available.
    Sheriff
    A deputy investigated at 5:50 p.m. Thursday a state-reportable, noninjury accident involving a vehicle driven by Juanita R. Koehn, 65, Canton, and a deer that occurred just west of 28th Avenue on Pawnee Road.
    Area
    INMAN — Firefighters responded at 9:48 a.m. Thursday to a fire that had rekindled in the area of 8th Avenue and Frontier Road. The fire was extiguished, though some tree stumps were allowed to continue to smolder.
