WICHITA — The Wichita Wingnuts lost both ends of a day-night doubleheader Tuesday against the Gary SouthShore Railcats in American Association play at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Wichita lost the first game 7-6 and the second game 7-4 in 11 innings.

WICHITA — With a one-hole lead and nine holes to play, Scott Parel was able to pull away to win the Air Capital Classic Sunday at the Crestview Country Club in Wichita.

Parel shot a 64 on his final round for a four-day total of 266, 18-under par.

SALINA — The Newton Junior Knights split a doubleheader against the Salina Hawks Friday in Class A American Legion baseball play at Dean Evans Stadium.

Newton won the first game 20-4 in four innings on the 10-run rule, but lost the second game 18-13. The second game clocked in at just over three hours.
