  • Sedgwick 52, Moundridge 7SEDGWICK — Sedgwick’s Logan Thompson rushed for 126 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Cardinals to a 52-7 win over Heart of America League rival Moundridge Friday in Sedgwick. The win gives Sedgwick at least a share of the HOAL crown. Thompsoin also passed for 126 yards and a touchdown. Drake Standifer had three catches for 71 yards and a score. Dalton Brandt added 12 carries for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Nic Johnson had a fumble recovery for Sedgwick. The Cardinals led 40-0 at the half, improving to 5-1, 4-0 in HOAL play. Moundridge, 1-5 overall and in HOAL play, was led by Daniel Ratzlaff and Colby Badman, who each rushed for 43 yards. Badman scored on a 56-yard run in the third quarter.
