  • 'Pink Heals' tour to make stop in Newton

  • The Guardians of the Ribbon Wichita area chapter, the Pink Heals Tour, will visit The Tan at 4 p.m. Thursday at the 1027 Washington Road parking lot in support of women and their fight against cancer.?For more information, contact Jolene Weber at The Tan, 284-9797.?The Guardians of the Ribbon Inc. was founded in 2007 by a Glendale, Ariz., firefighter, Dave Graybill, who has since retired from the department to dedicate his full attention to the Pink Heals Tour with pink fire trucks.?The not-for-profit organization takes their pink fire trucks to help other fund-raising entities raise dollars that are designated to help support local women with their financial burdens due to cancer. They support women with all forms of cancer, including breast cancer.?Cancer survivors and those who have lost loved ones to cancer are encouraged to sign the pink fire trucks as a traveling memorial.?For more information about the Wichita area chapter of the Pink Heals Tour, visit www.pinkhealskansas.org.
