Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive and fatal brain disease that is the most common form of dementia. As a part of Newton Presbyterian Manor's "Just Ask" educational series, the manor will host "The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s," a seminar by the Alzheimer’s Association at 7 p.m. today in the Nelson Chapel.
Linsey Norton, family care coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Association of Central and Western Kansas, will present the seminar. Norton is a licensed bachelor social worker, with 14 years of experience in the field of aging. She has worked for the Alzheimer’s Association for one year. The public is welcome.
