  • CMS seventh grade football team to host “Pink for the Cure” gameChisholm Middle School announced the seventh grade football team will be playing their second annual “Pink for the Cure” game in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at 5 p.m. today at the Newton High School field. The Railers will be wearing pink in their game against Haysville West. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to support the team and the search for the cure for breast cancer.Life Enrichment schedule announced for Oct. 3Classes will include: - 9:30 a.m. “Alaska: Prescriptions for Adventure,” Naomi Gaede-Penner - 10:35 a.m. “Jumping through Homestead Hoops: 19th Century Homesteading in Central Kansas,” Jim R. Beck - 11:30 a.m. “Sampler from ‘The Secret Garden,’" musical to be presented at Bethel College Oct. 12-14 There will be no Life Enrichment on Oct. 10, which is the week of Fall Fest at Bethel College. Bethel College’s Life Enrichment educational series is targeted to adults age 60 and older. The sessions are on Wednesdays at Krehbiel Auditorium in the Bethel College Fine Arts Center. Cost for the program is $20 per semester or $2 per week. For more information, call 283-2500. Notice: The "Classical Piano Duo" did not be perform at the 11:30 a.m. session Sept. 26. The repairs to the grand piano in Krehbiel Auditorium were not completed. The two pianists will present this program early in the spring semester of Life Enrichment.BCAPA to host circus-themed drawing classThe Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts will be hosting a Monart drawing class from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at 123 E. Broadway. The theme will be “Circus — Have fun drawing your favorite animals from Under the Big Top!” Cost is $35 per person, supplies included. Contact The Art Park at 683-2500.
