HALSTEAD — Olga I. Hensley, 96, homemaker and Avon Lady died on Thursday (Sept. 20, 2012) at the Homestead of Halstead Assisted Living Center. She was born on Oct. 13, 1915, in Sedgwick to Walter William and Pearl J. (O’Dell) Janzen. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Altar Society. On Sept. 5, 1934, she married Robert David Hensley in Halstead. He died on March 4, 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Gene) Irsik of Kearney, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Hensley of Sedgwick; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by sons, James E. and Robert J. Hensley; and a brother, Vergil “Bud” Janzen. The Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday (Sept. 24, 2012) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead, with a visitation to follow. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 25, 2012) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Stephen Baxter officiating. Burial will follow at Halstead Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in care of Kaufman Funeral Home of Halstead.
