  • Irma Louise McCarter, 85, passed away on Friday (Aug. 24, 2012) at Asbury Park Retirement Community in Newton.?She was born on Aug. 8, 1927, in Wichita, the daughter of Frank and Martha?Dyck. She graduated from Elbing High School in Elbing. She was a long-time employee of Randy’s Meat Company of Newton. She will be remembered?as a great homemaker and mother to her family.?She is survived by three daughters, Mary Katherine Penner of Newton, Martha?Joann Johns of Newton and Janice Ashley of Newton; and a brother, Arthur Dyck and his spouse, Margaret of Newton. There are 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.?She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Dyck.?A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 30, 2012) at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel.?A memorial has been established for “The Good Shepherd Hospice,” in care of Petersen Funeral Home, www.petersenfamilyfuneralhome.com
