SOUTH HUTCHINSON — Daniel Corrie Jefferson, 57, died on Friday (Aug. 24, 2012) in South Hutchinson.?He had been a long-time resident of the Hutchinson area. He was a retired printer, having worked in various businesses. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed computers and was a Denver Broncos fan.?He was born on Jan. 2, 1955, in Wichita to John W. and Virginia Lee (Copenhaver) Jefferson.?Survivors include daughters, Michelle and (Rick) Wray of Hutchinson, and Jennifer and (Steve) Boren of Memphis, Tenn.; son, Jeremiah Bass of Ottawa; grandchildren, Logan Cain, Jacob Wray and Clarke Boren; brother, Stephen and (Kathleen) Jefferson of Hutchinson; sisters, Christy and Doug Hafenstine of Sterling, and Cindy Jefferson of South Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.?He was preceded in death by his parents.?Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today (Aug. 28, 2012), with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.?Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 29, 2012) at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead, with Chaplain Art Maddock presiding.?Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery following the service.
