The 76th annual conference of the National Association for Family and Community Education was July 20 to 22 in Erlanger, Ky. “Coming Together, Growing Together and Building Together” was the theme was the NAFCE Conference.?Approximately 100 members and guests from around the country were registered for the conference and annual business meeting. Three sessions of Family Community Leadership Training were conducted with “FCL at Work”: 1) leadership, 2) volunteerism, and 3) teaching techniques. Eleven break-out sessions for education were offered.?Keynote speaker was JoAnne Owen-Nausler, “Secure Your Own Mask First!,” on the the importance of movement for all ages to remain healthy for mind, body and soul.?Keeping pace with the evolving needs of society, FCE focuses today on three major concerns: continuing education, developing leadership and community action.
