WALTON — An alleged forger was arrested Monday in Walton at Walton State Bank.
The Harvey County Sheriff’s office reports a man who was the acquaintance of his target was cashing fake checks at the bank on a weekly basis. Pending formal charges, his name was not released.
“He went, religiously, on each Monday,” said undersheriff Todd Hanchett.
Hanchett said the man had allegedly cashed a forged check each Monday for about six months.
