"Sea to Shining Sea" bike riders made a stop in Newton today.

The bicyclists are coming through Newton as part of the second "Sea to Shining Sea" ride across America, put on by non-profit organization World T.E.A.M Sports.

The ride began in late May in San Francisco and ends in Virginia Beach in late July.

Many of the riders were injured in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Two of the riders are blind, requiring pilot drivers to navigate them along their course. In total, the bikers will travel 3,700 miles in 68 days.
