So, I go all winter with no colds, no sickness, and then, bam, spring hits and I’m on my second cold. I just want to go home and curl up in the recliner and watch mind-numbing TV. That’s my plan for tonight. (I wrote that yesterday. Feeling a bit better today.)

So, I go all winter with no colds, no sickness, and then, bam, spring hits and I’m on my second cold. I just want to go home and curl up in the recliner and watch mind-numbing TV. That’s my plan for tonight. (I wrote that yesterday. Feeling a bit better today.)

Before I do that, I thought I’d blog about the fabric I ordered during the weekend.

I noticed a shop in the blogosphere had some of the new Ghastlies fabric for sale, so I purchased a half yard of the theme fabric with a moldy green background.

I’m not sure what I’ll do with it, but I’m thinking about surrounding some of it with grayish flowers for a border for a wall hanging.

I’ll show you my new Ghastlies fabric when it arrives. I only ordered it two days ago, so it should be on its way!

Emma Creek Quilt Guild meets at 7 p.m. today at the Hesston Area Senior Center. I believe a couple of members are putting on the program. The guild is for people interested in quilting. Not sure if I’m going tonight or not — depends on how the cold is going.

During the weekend, I washed my latest finished quilt, which incorporated Sandy Gervais’ fall fabric but for the life of me, I can’t remember the name of the line. I’ve included a photo of the quilt taken during the guild’s quilt show in October. I love the colors. I like to make quilts without prewashing the fabric, so when I wash and dry the quilt, it gets a cool scrunchy look.

Until next time, happy quilting and hope you find your home comforting!
