The Texas Brahmas tied the best-of-seven Berry Conference finals with the Wichita Thunder two games each after a 2-1 Brahmas win Friday in the Central Hockey League playoffs in North Richland Hills.


The Texas Brahmas tied the best-of-seven Berry Conference finals with the Wichita Thunder two games each after a 2-1 Brahmas win Friday in the Central Hockey League playoffs in North Richland Hills.

Eric Spady scored for Texas midway in the first period on a power-play goal with an assist from Brett Findlay and Andrew Lackner. Wichita answered on a goal by Thomas Beauregard with an assist from Daniel Tetrault and Chris Chappell,

Texas regained the lead just 2:12 into the second period on a goal by T.J. Fox, assisted by Chad Wollard and Adam Hogg.

Wichita was held to 12 shots in the game. Texas took just 19. Wichita goalie Adam Russo had 17 saves in the loss. Brad Fogel had 11 saves for Texas in the win.

Game five is 7:05 p.m. today at the Intrust Bank Arena.
