Bethel College softball coach signed Jennifer Kaufman of Moundridge to a letter of intent to play for the Threshers in the 2012-13 school year.

Kaufman, a third baseman, plays for Moundridge High School, where she is a three-year letter winner. She was honorable mention All-Herat of America League as a junior.

“I'm excited to have the opportunity to play softball at the collegiate level,” Kaufman said. “I look forward to meeting my teammates and improving my softball skills.”

“It's great to get a solid student-athlete like Jennifer,” Bethel coach Stacy Middleton said. “She will be a great addition to our campus and to our softball team. She is fundamentally sound and a dedicated kid. I'm thrilled to have her be a part of our team.”

Kaufman also played basketball and volleyball at Moundridge. She participated in musicals, choir, band, Spanish Club, FCA, student council, Pep Club, Youth Group and National Honor Society. She was on the Presidents Honor Roll.

She intends to major in social work or elementary education.
