Elmer H. Voth, 90, of Goessel, died on Friday (Jan. 27, 2012) at Via Christi – St. Francis in Wichita.


Elmer H. Voth, 90, of Goessel, died on Friday (Jan. 27, 2012) at Via Christi – St. Francis in Wichita.
He was born on Feb. 4, 1921, in Goessel to Peter S. and Anna Fast Voth. He married Josephine Nikkel on Oct. 18, 1952. Elmer was a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel, where he served as usher, trustee and deacon. Music was an important part of his life, through family quartet, men’s chorus and chancel choir. He was a lifetime dairy and grain farmer.
Survivors include: two daughters, Nancy (Brian) Stucky of Goessel, and Leanne (Byron) Githens of Fredonia; one son, Delton (Janice) Voth of Goessel; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Hilda Buller of Goessel.
He was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Arnold and John; a brother, Rudolf Voth; and a sister, Evelyn Voth.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Miller-Ott Funeral Home in Goessel.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery near Goessel, followed by a memorial service at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church at 11 a.m., with Pastors Steve Schmidt and Linda Ewert officiating.
