Vincent Wayne Ochs, 78, died at home in the arms of his family.
He was born on Nov. 4, 1933, in Timken, the son of Phillip Ochs and Verna Morgan Scheurman.
On June 1, 1954, he married Gloria Schope in Albert.
Vincent was the former owner and operator of Ochs Cleaners in Newton from 1974 to 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria of the home; two daughters, Cheri Ochs Wheeler and husband, Edwin M. Wheeler Jr. of Marion, and Lesa Redger and husband, Perry of Newton; six grandchildren, Zachary Bauman, Chelsea Redger, Skylar Bauman, Dustin Redger, John Wheeler and Jason Wheeler; and six great-grandchildren, Jori Sky Bauman, Corbin Wheeler, Burton Harshman, Morgan Wheeler, Aspen Wheeler and Gunnar Wheeler.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Brent Wayne Ochs; brother, Wendell; and two sisters, Helen and Alma.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton, with the family greeting from 6 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Marion Presbyterian Church in Marion
