The Hesston College women’s basketball team played three games in five days, winning two.

Saturday, Hesston hosted Cottey College, falling 79-71. Hesston was outscored 33-21 from 3-point range and 24-12 from the free throw line.

Cottey led 42-33 at the half.

Santana Cruz led the Comets with 24 points, followed by Jordan Davidson with 18, Kylie Eldredge with 17 and Petra Stankovic with 12. Bailey Braden had 11 rebounds.

Mishaun Pfannenstiel scored 20 points for Hesston, followed by Destavia Davis with 16, Mallory Schroeder with 14 and Dani Stauffer with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Monday, Hesston downed the Southwestern College junior varsity 82-75. Hesston trailed 35-30 at the half. Pfannenstiel scored 21 points for Hesston, followed by Davis with 17, Schroeder with 16 and Rachael Miller with 13. Jordan Hobbs scored 24 points for Southwestern, followed by Sheri Zoglmann with 21 and Madison Martens with 13.

Tuesday in Hillsboro, Hesston downed the Tabor College junior varsity 69-40. Hesston led 46-22 at the half. Pfannenstiel led Hesston with 21 points, followed by Davis with 10.

Lindsey Radic scored 12 points for the junior Bluejays.

Hesston is 10-10 and hosts Brown Mackie at 6 p.m. Feb. 1 in Region VI play.
