Travis Kemph, a 29-year-old man who grew up in Newton, was involved in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday that sent him to the hospital where he remains in a coma.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Kemph was driving a cement truck about 11 miles west of Manhattan and was making a right hand turn to get on Interstate 70 westbound. The truck left the roadway and rolled once, coming to rest on it’s side.
Kemph was transported to Geary County Hospital and then airlifted to Stormon-Vail Hospital in Topeka via helicopter.
According to a family contact, Kemph was still on life support this  morning and was still in a coma.
