Friday, Wichita fell to Quad City 5-4 in a shootout in Moline, Ill. Sunday, Wichita fell to Tulsa 5-2 in Tulsa.

In Friday’s game, Jeremy Boyer and Jared Brown each scored a goal with an assist for Quad City. Mickey Lang and Brandon Marino each added a goal. Lang had the winning goal in the tie-breaking shootout, which the Mallards won 2-1. Justin Chwedoruk had two assists.

Andrew Martens scored two goals for the Thunder. Alex Bourret and Matt Robinson each added a goal. Jarred Mohr had two assists.

Wichita was outshot 43-30. David Brown recorded the win in goal for the Mallards with 26 saves. Wichita’s Adam Russo had 39 saves.

In Sunday’s game, Ryan Raven led Tulsa with two goals. Mike Ullrich had a goal with an assist. Sean Erickson and Ryan Cramer each added a goal for the Oilers.

Bourret and Robinson each had a goal for Wichita.

Tulsa had a 28-27 advantage in shots on goal. Wichita’s Ryan McDonald had 24 saves. Former Thunder netminder Ian Keserich had 25 saves for the Oilers.

Wichita falls to 17-8-1, two points behind Allen for first place in the Berry Conference. Tulsa moves to within three points of Wichita at 15-9-2. Quad City is 14-10-1, tied for third in the Turner Conference.

Wichita hosts Missouri at 7:05 p.m. today at Intrust Bank Arena.
