We asked Kansan readers to tell us where to see Christmas lights. They told us to go to 1300 Terrace Drive (above) along with the following:
704 N. Quail Court
600 Block of East Sixth
500 Block of East Seventh
508 West First
Windward Drive and Old Main

Three highlights
1 Northern lights. 1300  N. Terrace Drive. Red and white twinkling lights adorn this home, which once was on the local holiday home tour. There even is, what appears to be, Santa and Mrs. Claus in the front window of the home looking out at passersby.
It seems there are hundreds of holiday lights lighting up bushes, the house, a tall evergreen tree and wreaths flanking the windows.
Red lights shine on the house, making it look like it’s glowing.
Green floodlights shine on various strategically placed locations around the home.

2 Revival of a tradition At the urging of their children, John and Lois Bathrop are reviving a family tradition — one started when they lived Peabody on U.S. 50. This year their display of pigs pulling Santa’s sleigh makes its Newton debut at 704 N. Quail Court. This is the first time in 17 years the display has been put out.

3 Air up there  Inflatable fans should head to Windward Drive. At the intersection of Windward Drive and Old Main, county commissioner Chip Westfall has dozens of inflatable decorations as a Christmas light display.
