Newton Christian High School has moved to 208 N. Meridian.
While the school has served families in Newton and surrounding communities for the last 19 years, people involved in the school want to highlight this change in location by inviting alumni, friends and interested Newton citizens to an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 16.
At 3 p.m., the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce will have a  ribbon cutting ceremony for the new facility.
“We’ll celebrate God’s provision and share our future vision for the school,” a news release stated.
“We are excited to have our own facility, and have enjoyed terrific support from our school families and friends in this recent transition,” said Dr. Cherry Stucky, administrator, in a news release. “Being in town provides a more central location for our students from surrounding communities, and a more visible presence to Newton residents.”
The school’s students come to high school from a variety of backgrounds, from home school to public school, and with a variety of success rates. At NCHS, students enjoy a mutually supportive learning environment, while engaging in curriculum that is both biblically integrated and college preparatory, a news release stated. It is Newton Christian High School’s mission to prepare servant leaders for the world.
“We believe learning in relationships and through intentional experiences best prepare students to be world-changers. That is our goal,” Stucky said.
