Jim Juhnke will sign copies of his book “Small Steps Toward the Missing Peace: A Memoir” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith and Life Bookstore in Newton.

The book is the author’s journey as a Mennonite peace activist, college teacher and historian who wrote about war and peace.

The book traces Juhnke’s life story from early moral formation in a Mennonite community in Kansas down to the writing of a book at the end of his career.

Also at Faith and Life, James R. Beck will speak on “Two Views of Women in Ministry” during a lunch lecture from noon to 1 p.m. Monday.

Beck is on the faculty of Denver Seminary, where he joined the counseling department in 1984. He is senior professor of counseling and is a licensed clinical psychologist.
