The Hillsboro High School girls’ tennis team placed fourth Thursday at the Hillsboro Invitational.


The Hillsboro High School girls’ tennis team placed fourth Thursday at the Hillsboro Invitational.

Wichita Independent won the title with 59 points, followed by Circle at 51, Chapman at 49 and Hillsboro at 36.

At first singles for Hillsboro, Courtney Weber took third. At second singles, Hillsboro’s Allison Weber won the title.

At first doubles, Erin Winter and Peyton Loewen placed seventh. At second doubles, Katie Claassen and Claire Heyen placed sixth.

Hillsboro plays at the Central Kansas League championships Oct. 1 at Smoky Valley High School in Lindsborg.
