Billy Butler hit two home runs for the Royals. Melky Cabrera hit a grand slam in the fourth inning. Butler finished the game with three RBIs. Alex Gordon went two for four with a home run and three RBIs.

Orlando Cabrera went two for four for the Indians.

Indians starter Carlos Carrasco took the loss. He was ejected after Melky Cabrera’s slam.

The Royals are 45-61. The Indians fall to 52-51, dropping their third straigt and falling 2 1/2 games behind Detroit in the AL Central.

The win was the Royal’s third straight. The series continues today.
