A husband and wife from rural Burrton accused of manufacturing methamphetamine waived their preliminary hearings Thursday in Harvey County District Court.
Ramie and Terry Stanford, both 49, are charged with five counts each in connection with a meth manufacturing lab that was discovered March 2 near Burrton by Harvey County sheriff’s officers.
Officers went to the farm looking for a stolen Bobcat loader.
They found the loader and, under a separate warrant, discovered the meth lab in a nearby barn.
The Stanfords are charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance, two counts each of unlawful possession of ephedrine, possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia for personal use. They also are both charged with felony theft.
Both of the defendants are set for arraignment on Sept. 1.
