Mack Weber, 56, of Burns, passed away on Wednesday (July 20, 2011) after a year-long battle with gastric cancer. 


Mack Weber, 56, of Burns, passed away on Wednesday (July 20, 2011) after a year-long battle with gastric cancer.  
Born on Dec. 19, 1956, in Newton, he attended Peabody High School, Butler County Junior College and Kansas State University. He was a nursing home administrator in the Kansas City area prior to returning to Burns to care for his parents.  
He is survived by his brother, Pete, and wife, Lavon of Hays; brother, Scott of Peabody; nephew, Cole of Wichita; and a niece, Megan of Tulsa, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margaret Weber; a companion, Richard Sanders; and a nephew, Clay Weber.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Burns Methodist Church in Burns. A private internment will be at a later date.  
Memorials in his memory are to Hospice Care of Kansas and American Cancer Society. These may be left with Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado, which is in charge of the arrangements.
