Ann M. Moulds, 89, of Halstead, died on Tuesday (July 19, 2011) at the Halstead Health and Rehab Center.


Ann M. Moulds, 89, of Halstead, died on Tuesday (July 19, 2011) at the Halstead Health and Rehab Center.
She was born on June 30, 1922, in Newton, the daughter of Arthur L. and Augusta Catherine Kaiser Phillips. She graduated from Newton High School in 1940. Ann married Thomas Clayton Moulds on April 25, 1942, in Newton.
Ann and Tom moved to California in 1959. She was a receptionist for many years at the Ferrara and Moulds Colonial Mortuary in Orange, Calif., until retiring in June 1980. They returned to Kansas in the summer of 1992.
Ann was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Halstead. Through the years, Ann also had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Loving Savior Lutheran Church in Chino Hills, Calif., and the Orange North Rotary Club in Orange, Calif., where she had been honored as a “Paul Harris Fellow.”
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Dean Moulds of Wichita; sister-in-laws, Kathryn Lamia of Kanopolis, Sadie Moulds of Murphysboro, Ill., and Barbara Moulds of Monte Vista, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Tom, on Aug. 21, 2009.
Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton, where the family will receive friends between 2 and 4 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
A memorial has been established with Halstead Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 5, Halstead Historical Society or Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.
