Lou Ann Ratzlaff, 55, of Midlothian, Texas, passed away on Sunday (July 17, 2011) with family by her side. 


Lou Ann Ratzlaff, 55, of Midlothian, Texas, passed away on Sunday (July 17, 2011) with family by her side.  
She was born on Aug. 16, 1955, in Dallas, to Bill and Betty Huskerson. She graduated from Republic High School in Republic, Mo., and married her husband, Darrell, of nearly 35 years in Goessel. They resided in Newton for several years before moving to Midlothian in 1993.  
She was a retired sales manager from SBC Communications, where she worked for more than 27 years. She enjoyed collecting recipes, cooking, bargain shopping and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and granny and will be missed dearly by those whose lives she impacted and who loved her.   
She is survived by her children, Brandon Ratzlaff and wife, Jennifer, of Midlothian, and Brent Ratzlaff and wife, Marsha, of Alvarado; grandchildren, Conner Andrew and Kennedy Grace Ratzlaff, and Nathan Jay Ratzlaff of Alvarado; father, Bill Huskerson of Camdenton, Mo.; and siblings, Karla Reichmann of Maize, and Jeff Huskerson of Greenley, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Ratzlaff; mother, Betty Huskerson; and sister, Dana Delane Huskerson.  
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Midlothian Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rockett Christian Church, Rockett, Texas, with burial following at Bell’s Chapel Cemetery in Rockett.
