Jorge Cortes went three for five for the Wingnuts with two runs scored, two home runs and four RBIs.

Wichita overcame two errors in the bottom of the ninth to hand Josh Dew his fifth save of the season. Nick Singleton went 6 1-3 innings, striking out six, to improve to 4-0.

Wichita improves to 9-2 while Gary falls to 4-7. The two teams meet again today.
