Dorothy H. Entz, 86, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday (Feb. 22, 2011) at Newton Medical Center in Newton. 


Dorothy H. Entz, 86, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday (Feb. 22, 2011) at Newton Medical Center in Newton.  
She was born on Jan. 7, 1925, in Aberdeen, Idaho, the daughter of Bernhard and Helena (Friesen) Wiebe. After her mother’s death, she was raised by her aunt, Selma Wiebe, who became her step-mother.
She completed the Bethel College Registered Nurses program. During this time, she would come to know and love Willie Entz. They were married on Oct. 25, 1950, in Aberdeen, Idaho. They would make their home near Whitewater, where they were blessed with six children.  
She was active in Emmaus Mennonite Church, where she worked in the library and taught Sunday school.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Nancy Entz of Whitewater, Margie (Gerald) Busenitz of Newton, Charles (Charis) Entz of Whitewater, Alan Entz of Park City, Andy (Lisa) Entz of Wichita, and James (Genia) Entz of Benton; her brothers, Henry (Bonnie) Wiebe of Rolla, Mo., and David (Leslie) Wiebe of Fairway; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Entz, and a sister, Margaret Wiebe.   
Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Emmaus Mennonite Church in Whitewater. Interment will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Emmaus Mennonite Cemetery, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Emmaus Mennonite Church in Whitewater.
