The Chisholm Science Olympiad team placed third at the regional competition on Jan. 12 in Salina.


The Chisholm Science Olympiad team placed third at the regional competition on Jan. 12 in Salina.
Placing second were Noah Schmidt and Cameron Cassil in battery buggy; Ashley Akers and Jared Langley in disease detectives; Emma Pescitelli and Anthony Lyons in bottle rockets; Sean Boston and Jack Kingsley in optics; and Alex Rickard and Anthony Lyons in storm the castle.
Placing third were Wyatt Burbrink and Kenzie Zielke in anatomy; Cameron Cassil and Jack Kingsley in dynamic planet; and Emma Pescitelli and Jared Langley in towers.
Other team members were Jerod Fox, Kyle Kelsey, Emily Kuhn and Micah Smith.
The team was coached by John Pescitelli and Dennis Flickner and will be participating at the state Science Olympiad competition in April.
