HAVILAND — The Hesston College women’s basketball team fell to Barclay College 73-66 Tuesday in Haviland.

Barclay jumped to a 43-28 lead at the half, holding off a Hesston comeback in the second half. Barclay outscored Hesston 26-12 from the free throw line.

Mishaun Pfannenstiel led Hesston with 27 points and 13 rebounds.

Hannah Williams led 11-9 Barclay with 20 points, followed by Artaya Climes with 14, Cara Barnes with 12 and Tacy Powers with 11.

Hesston falls to 12-17 and opens the Region VI playoffs Tuesday.

HALSTEAD — The Halstead Dragon girls ended the regular season with a 51-37 loss to Pratt Tuesday in Central Kansas League play in Halstead.

Halstead trailed 26-21 at the half. Pratt then pulled away with a 12-5 third quarter.

Cheyene Eisenhour led Pratt, 16-3, with 15 points. Payton Hoeme added 10 points.

Sydney Beat led Halstead with 12 points. Morgan Matlack added 10.

Halstead is 1-19 and opens sub-state play Monday.

Halstead trailed 18-17 at the half0 but took command with a 17-4 third quarter. Halstead held Pratt to six points in the fourth quarter.

Matt Swank scored 13 points for Pratt, 7-12.

Daniel Ratzlaff led Moundridge with 19 points, followed by Trey Unrau with 16 and Alex Otte with 10.

Kyle Corbett led 9-10 Ellinwood with 13 points.
